Wow, I'm really glad that you posted this; I didn't even know that there was FREE remote pc control software. I think I will check out the "logmein" and the "mikogo" software!

Its funny, all I can think about when I hear the term "remote pc software", is this EXTREMELY expensive soft from the days of windows 98, which is called "PCANYWHERE". Man that program cost a small fortune back in the day. And now they have FREE software that does the same thing :)

Hi Prabhu,
Mikogo is a freeware desktop sharing app that may interest you as well. http://www.mikogo.com
Fast, easy and secure tool for free remote support. And it's free for both commercial and private use.
Also, Mikogo allows you to share your screen with up to 10 people simultaneously, so it's also great for online meetings and web presentations.
Drop by our website where you'll find a couple of video tutorials on getting started.
If you would like to know more about free online meetings and remote support with Mikogo, feel free to contact me.

Cheers,

Andrew Donnelly
The Mikogo Team

Windows remote desktop for XP is pretty useful tool for backing up files from one PC to another, or for transferring files across a network. It can be pretty flakey to set-up through your router, but definably worth the time it takes to set-up.

@Daniel, the tool from MS has just some basic features and it can not help you in remote access if you are not in LAN.

I knew about the default MS one..didnt know about the others..all you really need is MS to access someone else's puter and do whatever you want..so I dont see why you would need to BUY a different one?
